The Weekly Photo Challenge is Inside. Our trip to the Corn Islands in Nicaragua provided me with many opportunities to get the inside scoop on Corn Island.
From inside one island, to another. Looking out the ferry window. Adios Ometepe.
Ahhh…snuggled inside a hammock on the Caribbean coast is glorious.
Peek-a-boo. Who is inside Ron’s hat?
Wait a minute! Who is inside my pina colada?
What really goes on inside a lobster fishing boat?
Inside the cockpit of our tiny plane returning to Managua from the Corn Islands. Look, there’s Ometepe Island! Can you just drop us off at our house?
Inside the hotel in Managua, waiting for my taxi driver to pick me up and take me home. Living on one island and vacationing on another…what a life!
wonderful vacation spot, one paradise to another. We do the same here in EC. We take an hour and half bus ride to Canoa for our mini vacations, though I’d rather have the bus than the small plane 🙂
this is great, as i’ve always wanted to go there! thank you!
Z…let’s take your flying carpet! 🙂
We live in the countryside in Michoacán. For vacations, we like the cities. Last one was nearly three weeks in Mexico City and Oaxaca combined. We had a great time.
Saludos,
Don Cuevas
Your part of the world is beautiful and Mexico’s cities are fascinating. I can’t compare Managua to Mexico City or Oaxaca. YUCK! I can’t imagine anyone taking a vacation in Managua.
Lovely! All those fabulous colors are making me long for Spring! It looks so lush there! 🙂
Nicole, it is a very lush area. I couldn’t stop singing Bob Marley songs. haha
I guess to fly back to the new Ometepe airport is now just a fantasy!
I’m a patient kind of gal, Dean. I’m waiting. I’ve been waiting for 2 years now. I can wait a few more years. lol
I am going for that hammock, too 🙂 I enjoyed your light-hearted commentary along with the pics.
Thanks, Beauty. I dream of hammocks swinging in the Caribbean breeze, now. 🙂
These are great hints of a lovely vacation. Glad you could both go. The little one in the hat is a real cutie.
Isn’t she a cutie? We stayed at Big Fish hostel on Corn Island and she was the owner’s daughter. She was fascinated with Ron’s hat. You should be leaving any day now, right?
Could I have one of those hammocks, please? 🙂 Your link was wrong, but I’m going to add the correct one. Have a great weekend.
janet
Janet, thanks for adding the correct link for me. I knew exactly what I did wrong as soon as I clicked on publish, but there is no way to delete the link from the Challenge. And, you can definitely have a hammock…but you need to come here! 🙂
I’m keeping that visit in mind!
