The Weekly Photo Challenge said to make sure the photos are saturated. Nicaragua has many colorful and saturated people.
Saturated with Music
Saturated with Fun
Saturated with Creativity
Saturated with Patriotism? ( Even my camera got saturated)
The Shoe Shine Boy is Saturated with Exhaustion
Saturated with Homelessness
Saturated with Poverty and Old Age
Nicaragua is the land of extremes of saturation… from the fullness of joy, music, and liveliness….to those inundated with poverty, loneliness, and despair. Be grateful everyday and if you see a need…pay your gratefulness forward.
what a great assortment of images! that first one is amazing, yet all of them are amazing! thanks – i feel as if i just made a border run, though i’d probably have needed botas to keep my feet dry. great post! z
Haha! Definitely you would need botas. Now, I’m looking forward to the dry season. I’m tired of the mold. lol
oh yes, the mold gets old…
hmm. sounds like a dr seuss story!

Beautiful pictures! “Old age and Poverty” and “Homelessness” are heartbreaking. It is so easy for us to forget about people who have nothing.
We will be down there in several weeks and can’t wait to become saturated with Nicaragua!
Thanks, Rich. Believe me, it is easy to become saturated with Nicaragua. Have a safe flight. I sent you an email.
I like all your photos but the one of the homeless man sleeping in the doorway is beautiful. So sad that there are so many homeless. We just got back from a few days in San Francisco and there were so many homeless there as well.

Thanks, Janet. I always said that if I had to be homeless, I would prefer to be in a warm climate, like someplace in Central America or Southern California. I can’t imagine trying to live through a cold northern winter, can you?
Lovely lovely post and spin on the challenge! I’m going to share now on my fb page! 🙂
Thanks, Nicole. 🙂
great post, this one grabbed a hold of my heart
Thanks. It grabbed my heart, too. 🙂

Love your saturation displays of life.
Thank you, Memory catcher. Great name, by the way!
This gives new meaning to saturated. I feel humbled.
Thanks, Lynne. It is a humbling experience every day for us.
Thanks for these, from a country that will always remain close to my heart.
Hi Bob! Thanks for commenting. Any plans to come back to Nicaragua?
Not sure when yet, but most definitely.
I’m grateful every day that I have a bed to sleep on, a roof over my head, a hot shower and 3 meals every day. Life couldn’t be any more perfect than that. Peace, brother! Love your photos.
Thanks so much! Living here makes me very grateful for the little things in life.
Do you know Debbie, that even though I could have 2 more extra toothpastes at home, I still take a pair of scissors and cut up the tube of toothpaste in half that most most people will say is all done with??? and then, I have toothpaste for another 10 days or so… By the way, I loved that “We certainly are saturated with Nicaragua”. It broke my heart to see some of the pictures… Take care.
Haha! I can identify. Since all of our food products are sold in bags, like sour cream, ketchup, even milk…I always cut the bags open and squeeze out the last drop.
